2018 Wedding Trend – Ultra Violet is the Color of the Year!

The Pantone company is an authority on everything color related and their annual selection is a huge influencer on trends and designs for the year ahead. We always see the ‘Color of the Year’ incorporated into special events, especially weddings, at Springfield Country Club and we are loving how our clients are already embracing the new trend.

Pops of purple are being incorporated into tablescapes, centerpieces and bouquets. Bridesmaids dresses are worn in violet tones and complimented by groomsmen’s matching ties, bowties and pocket squares. Table decor like napkins and upgraded linens also celebrate and tie in the color.

But by far, lighting is our favorite way that clients are styling their wedding in concert with the Ultra Violet theme. Up lights, pin lights, cake lights, and even monogram lights in an Ultra Violet color palette totally transform our event space and create a rich, romantic and uniquely enchanting atmosphere. The purple colors also pair perfectly with our ballrooms’ luxurious gold and silver metallic accents and crystal chandeliers and offer utterly fabulous photo opportunities.

This is a trend that we absolutely adore and cannot wait to see more of throughout the rest of the year!
